Hello gypsies!

I'm actually asking a teensy question on behalf of a friend who's getting into the whole "making her own clothing" gig. She's a sewing whiz, but is looking for a good price on a used dress form.

Any recommendations on where to buy a used dress form? I've heard that garage sales and thrift stores can be good places to spot one for a decent price.
What are some of the things one should look for when purchasing a used dress form?

Thanks in advance!

In the first two years, the competition brought in over £65,000 (that's $107,260.73 U.S.!), with entries from 130 countries last year. Renaissance10 recently joined LiveJournal to meet other passionate photographers and find supportive friends.

Okay, gypsies, I know it's a little early, but what are your goals/resolutions for 2010?
What would you like to do, or learn how to do?
Or, what have you done and recommend others should do, too?
I'm feeling restless, like it's time to start coming up with resolutions, but I'm not having much luck. Maybe it's still a bit early for that, but…

there was that time we got lost climbing the mountain in early june. you thought you knew the path. the sun was starting to set & i’ve always been afraid of the forest at night but you swore you knew the way & the view of the city lights would be worth it. you could see for miles. you could see for years. if we could just get to the top we could change everything. i wanted to change everything. i planned to climb to the top & scream everything i hated & everything i’d lost out into the wind to be carried westward into the past. i planned to scream your name.

here. words. )

Hitler! Nazis! You ask for three colours (red, white and black) and that is all that comes into your mind. And the bus just goes by as if nothing is peculiar nothing is strange why would it be?
